California power regulators have increased the wildfire fine for Pacific Gas & Electric to $2.1 billion.
A settlement with the utility company originally was proposed at $1.7 billion. Officials have said the original fine was too lenient.
Wildfires in 2017 and 2018 were caused by PG&E's outdated electrical grid and negligence, according to The Associated Press.
