Redstone ousting five Viacom board members

The power struggle engulfing Viacom grew more intense yesterday with a large shakeup of the media company's board.

The former chairman of Viacom, Sumner Redstone, owns 80 percent of the company's voting stock through his business National Amusements.

Company officials announced Viacom CEO Philipe Dauman, George Abrams, Blythe McGarvie, Frederic Salerno and William Schwartz would be removed and replaced from the board of directors.

Dauman also is expected to be ousted as CEO, according to CNNMoney.
