Red Sox sign pitcher David Price for $217M

The Boston Red Sox signed a seven-year, $217 million contract with left-handed pitcher David Price.

The contract for the former Toronto Blue Jays player is the largest sum ever given to a pitcher.

The 30-year-old's contract includes an opt-out clause that kicks in after three seasons.
