Reckitt agrees to $1.4B settlement

Reckitt Benckiser agreed to pay up to $1.4 billion to the U.S. federal government.

The settlement ends federal investigations into Reckitt's marketing of an opioid product by its former business Indivior.

The settlement is the largest so far in what President Donald Trump has called the country’s epidemic of opioid addiction.
