The organizers of a recall effort against California Gov. Gavin Newsom collected enough signatures to take the issue to the ballot.
More than 1.6 million valid signatures were collected, roughly 100,000 more than required, according to the California secretary of state’s office.
Organizers of the effort have cited Newsom's coronavirus-related actions.
