Reader sets SBJ straight on Boaz

Regarding the Heard on the Street item "Winners in Boaz" that appeared in the Aug. 20-26 Business Journal:

In case you don't know, Boaz is not on Highway 14 near Nixa.

Just for your information, Boaz is not an incorporated town. It generally is considered to be the village of about eight or 10 houses located on Highway N two miles south of Highway 14. This is where the highway department "Boaz" sign is located.

You might consider Boaz to be the larger community of mostly great people that runs from Highway 14 south to the Hidden Valley Golf Course, but if anyone follows your directions and looks for Boaz on Highway 14, they are sure to miss it.

I was born in the hospital at Boaz and lived there most of my life, so I know a little about it.
