Ray Rice likely to keep $25M after NFL ban

Posted online
The NFL's Ray Rice will probably get to keep about $25 million that he's been paid, even after he was cut by the Baltimore Ravens in the wake of domestic abuse revelations.

The professional football player signed a 5-year, $35 million deal in 2012, $15 million of which was a signing bonus. He got another $7 million bonus in 2013, and also collected $3 million in salary over the first two years of the contract. Almost none of that amount can be taken back, according to CNNMoney.

Video went viral Monday of Rice punching his his then-fiancee and now wife in an Atlantic City elevator. He then drags her out of the elevator as she appears to be knocked out.
