Rapper 50 Cent files for bankruptcy

Rapper 50 Cent filed for Ch. 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday.

Curtis James Jackson III, 40, estimated he owes creditors between $10 million and $50 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The filing reportedly halts a 2010 lawsuit filed by Lastonia Leviston for allegedly posting a sex tape online. According to the report, filing for bankruptcy protection generally halts lawsuits and collection efforts.
