Missouri Supermarket Builders is the general contractor for the new Rapid Robert’s gas station and convenience store. Rob Wilson, president and CEO of Rapid Roberts, said it will be the Springfield-based chain’s 23rd store.
Slone Architects is the architect for the 5,800-square-foot project. Engineers are Great River Engineering, civil; Edelman Engineering, structural; and Crocker Engineering, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
There will be eight fuel dispenser islands to accommodate 16 vehicles. The convenience store will be Conoco-branded, Wilson said.
Financing is by Liberty Bank. According to a building permit filed with the city of Springfield, the estimated construction value is $493,000.
“It’s going to be our prototype image for our new builds,” Wilson said. “We just started re-imaging our existing stores, so it’s going to be an enhanced version of that.”
The new store is scheduled for completion this summer, Wilson said.
