Work continues on the 23rd store for Springfield-based Rapid Robert’s, scheduled for completion this summer. Missouri Supermarket Builders is the general contractor for the 5,800-square-foot project. Slone Architects is the architect for the structure, and Great River Engineering is the civil engineer. Edelman Engineering is structural engineer and Crocker Engineering is mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Financing for the Conoco-branded convenience store is by Liberty Bank. The estimated construction value is $493,000, according to a building permit filed with the city of Springfield. There will be eight fuel dispenser islands to accommodate 16 vehicles. The new store will be a prototype for the chain’s future locations.
