RadioShack files for bankruptcy a second time

RadioShack has filed its second bankruptcy in as many years.

After the first bankruptcy filing in 2015, General Wireless, a joint venture of hedge fund Standard General and Sprint, bought the chain and operated 1,700 stores.

General Wireless yesterday announced it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It plans to close 200 of a remaining 1,500 stores.
