Qatar Airways claims record for world's longest flight

Qatar Airways now holds the record for the world’s longest flight.

On Sunday, a Boeing 777 departed from Doha, Qatar, and landed 9,031 miles away in Auckland, New Zealand.

Gulf rival Emirates previously held the record by traveling 8,823 miles.
