An Australian court has ordered Qantas Airways, the country's largest airline, to pay a $58.6 million fine.
Federal Court Judge Michael ruled Qantas illegally fired 1,800 ground staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fine is the largest ordered by a court on a company in the history of Australia’s labor laws, according to Reuters.
