Puzder withdraws from consideration as Labor secretary

Fast-food executive Andrew Puzder yesterday withdrew his nomination for secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.

The CEO of CKE Restaurants has come under criticism from Democrats and liberal groups accusing him of mistreating his workers and supporting automation at the Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. chains.

Puzder also has been criticized by the likes of Breitbart for his employment of an undocumented immigrant as his housekeeper.
