Putin calls Trump ‘bright and talented’

Russian President Vladimir Putin offered high praise for the billionaire businessman and Republican presidential front-runner on Thursday, saying he was a “bright and talented person” during an annual news conference with reporters.

Putin, known for his own aggressive style of governing, also said Donald Trump was an outstanding and talented personality, according to a report originating with the Russian TASS news agency.

Putin was calling for better relations with the U.S. when he called Trump the “absolute leader of the presidential race.”
