Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Jimmy Breslin died Sunday morning. he was 88.
William Cole, his physician, said Breslin died of complications from pneumonia.
During his career, Breslin wrote for the New York Daily News, the New York Post, Newsday, the New York Herald Tribune and New York Journal American.
In 1986, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary for columns "which consistently champion ordinary citizens."
