Puerto Rico is seeking $1 billion in damages in a lawsuit filed against fossil fuel companies.
ExxonMobil, BP, Chevron, Shell and ConocoPhillips are among the companies named in the lawsuit.
The suit alleges the companies violated trade law by promoting fossil fuels without adequately warning about the dangers, according to The Verge.
