Copy Products Inc., 2103 W. Vista, was named one of the country's elite dealers by OfficeDealer magazine. The award, which is presented annually by the publication, recognizes the top office equipment, office products and office furniture dealers in the United States.
"It takes something special to stand out as an Elite independent dealer in 2003," said OfficeDealer Publisher Rick Kunkel in a news release. "Among elite dealers, success is not about surviving; it's about thriving even in tough economic times."
Copy Products Inc., which has six area locations, carries digital copiers, digital duplicators, color copiers and multifunction machines from Konica, Toshiba and Standard.
"We're a company that's big enough to service large accounts, yet also small enough to care about each and every one of our customers," said Erik Crane, CPI president.
"We don't receive recognition like this without a daily commitment from our staff to go above and beyond our customers' needs. This award is a reflection of all the dedicated people here."
The Springfield-based company was founded in 1971 by Vernon and Antonette Starks.
The duo, working daily alongside their family and approximately 70 employees, have formed a team of account representatives, technical support and administration.
OfficeDealer magazine is a national publication that serves more than
15,000 subscribers. The Elite Dealer award is based on a company's sales and marketing, customer service, community involvement and the ability to provide customers with unique and innovative solutions.
