Public Works' New Digs

Posted online
Jan. 10 was a big day for big scissors in Springfield. City Councilman John Wylie, Cheryl Doran of Pellham Phillips, Morris Dock of MoDoCo and Councilman Gary Deaver mark the completion of the city's new Public Works Operations Building at 1010 W. Chestnut Expressway. Funding for the $2.1 million project, which includes acquisition and renovation, was made possible by the level property tax as a component of Public Works' master plan and Vision 20/20's Jordan Valley Park West Meadows plan. Pellham Phillips provided architectural services, and MoDoCo was the general contractor for the renovations to the former Ozark Mountain Interiors building, which were substantially completed in 120 days.
