Public invited to West Sunshine corridor meeting

Posted online
The city of Springfield is seeking citizen input for a corridor study that addresses the design, land use and transportation of the West Sunshine/U.S. 160 corridor.

A third informational meeting about the study will be held 6–7 p.m. Thursday at the Faith Family Church, 3935 W. Sunshine.

The study, expected to be complete by the end of the year, is analyzing West Sunshine/Missouri 413/U.S. 60 as it stretches from U.S. 160 to Farm Road 178. Springfield, Republic and Greene County are participating in the study.

Property owners, business owners and citizens are encouraged to attend the meeting to help determine retail and residential uses for the corridor.

Among the areas that will be studied are parking lots, building design and materials, landscaping, mechanical equipment, outdoor storage, existing roadways and road access points.

A corridor preference survey also is available online.[[In-content Ad]]
