The improvement program is a schedule of transportation projects planned by various agencies in the OTO coverage area during the next three years. A project must be included in the program to be eligible for federal funds.
There are two amendments: the addition of improvements to the U.S. Highway 65 and Route 14 interchange in Ozark, and the addition of the Missouri Department of Transportation's Safe and Sound Bridge Program, which would replace the James River Bridge project on State Highway 125.
The amendments are available for review at the OTO's office on the third floor of Busch Municipal Building, 840 Boonville Ave.
Comments may be submitted in writing to the Ozarks Transportation Organization, PO Box 8368, 840 Boonville Ave., Springfield, MO 65801; e-mailed to sedwards@ci.springfield.mo.us; or faxed to (417) 864-1881.
After the comment period, the Metropolitan Planning Organization Board of Directors will review and possibly approve the amendments at its April 19 meeting. The public also is invited to comment on the amendments at that meeting, noon–1 p.m, at the OTO office.
