Public forum looks at landlord, tenant rights

Posted online
A local group is holding a panel discussion tonight to discuss the rights, roles and responsibilities of landlords and their tenants.

Neighborhood Roundtable, a program facilitated through Community Partnership of the Ozarks and Urban Neighborhoods Alliance, is holding the discussion 7 p.m.–8 p.m. at Dale Street Methodist Church, 1232 E. Dale St. The discussion will include educational resources available and appropriate channels for dispute resolution.

Panelists invited to participate include Heather Blades, Missouri State University Center for Dispute Resolution; Brent Haselhorst, Springfield Apartment and Housing Association; Joe Hills, Legal Aid of Southwest Missouri; and Andrew Mead, The Mead Law Firm.

After opening remarks by the panelists, audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions. The event is free and open to the public.

Neighborhood Roundtable has previously presented forums on community-oriented policing, city services available for neighborhoods, partnerships with public schools and neighborhood preservation. [[In-content Ad]]
