PSI changes name to IAAP

Posted online

The former Professional Secretaries International voted for a name change at its August convention in Atlanta.

The 120-member Hawthorn Chapter is the Springfield representation for the newly minted International Association of Administrative Professionals. The organization has its headquarters in Kansas City.

There are 700 chapters of the group in the United States and about 40,000 members around the world. The association is for administrative assistants, office coordinators, clerical supervisors, executive secretaries and other types of administrative staff.

"Our new name expresses our commitment to provide the most-up-to-date and comprehensive professional development and networking opportunities for today's workplace," said Gerri Kozlowski, IAAP president.[[In-content Ad]]
