The public comment period will last through Feb. 15. The 2007-2010 Transportation Improvement Program is a schedule of projects planned by agencies in southwest Missouri. A project must be included in the program to be eligible for federal funds.
Proposed amendments are:
• The addition of signals at State Highway 14 and Truman Road in Nixa;
• The removal of signals at State Highway 14 and Tiffany/Majestic in Nixa;
• Resurfacing U.S. Highway 60/413 between Republic and Scenic Avenue; and
• Resurfacing State Highway 744 between U.S. 65 and State Highway OO.
The amendments are available for review on the third floor of the Busch Municipal Building, 840 Boonville Ave. Comments may be submitted in writing to the OTO, PO Box 8368, 840 Boonville, Springfield, MO 65801; e-mailed to sedwards@ci.springfield.mo.us; or faxed to (417) 864-1881.
On Feb. 15, the Metropolitan Planning Organization board of directors will meet to review and vote on the amendments. The public is allowed to make comments at the meeting, which will be held noon–1 p.m. in the fourth-floor conference room of the Busch Building.
