Project Report: Scott Consulting Engineers PC

Scott Consulting Engineers PC is providing the engineering services for this project, owned by the Walnut Street Merchants Association and the city of Springfield. Jane Doney is the project landscape architect and Neil Fossnight is the project engineer; both are with Scott Consulting Engineers. Hartman Construction is the general contractor for the work, which has an estimated construction cost of $880,000 and is slated for completion in April. The project includes replacement of concrete sidewalks and renovation of limestone curbs and brick sidewalks, new driveway entrances, major drainage improvements, paving, landscaping, seating areas, pedestrian lighting, signage, and water and gas service improvements. The new public improvements will enhance the appearance of the street while complementing the many historic buildings.
