Butler Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is the architect for this project, owned by College of the Ozarks. The firm also is providing the structural engineering. Mechanical engineering is being provided by Malone, Finkle, Eckhardt & Collins. The estimated completion date for the approximately $3.2 million project is May. This 25,000-square-foot structure replaces C of O's original 8,500-square-foot music building built in the 1930s. A donation from Leonard and Edith Gittinger makes the new building possible. The Edith Gittinger Music Center will have practice rooms, faculty offices, rehearsal rooms and a 150-seat recital hall. The adjacent Leonard Gittinger Campus Ministries Center will provide new faculty offices, conference space, a library and a small prayer chapel.
