Affinis Corp. is the engineer for this bridge replacement project, and Snyder Bridge Co. is the general contractor. The $394,000 project is slated for completion this year. Financing is provided by the Greene County Highway Department. This is one of three bridge projects Affinis now has under way in the Springfield area. The existing bridge was too narrow and was structurally classified as "in serious condition." Affinis engineers designed improvements to the roadway and the bridge to improve sight distance, increase safety and function. |ret||ret||tab|

The replacement structure will be a 28-foot-wide, single-span prestressed/precast concrete I-girder bridge that is 74.5 feet long. The new span will be significantly longer than the existing span so that a 100-year flood could adequately pass under the bridge. |ret||ret||tab|
