General contractor Federal Construction Inc. is roughly three months ahead of schedule on Stone County National Bank’s fifth branch. General superintendent Randy Phelps, co-owner of Federal Construction, said several factors led to the project’s expedited schedule, including team effort in design and coordination, and the work of recommended subcontractors. Ken Turnbull is the job-site superintendent, and Terry Morrison is the acting project manager for the $2 million, 13,000-square-foot facility, Phelps said. Originally slated for a December opening, Stone County National Bank President Kirk Mourer said that date will change to reflect the anticipated early completion. He said the new branch will initially have about six employees. Slone Architects Inc. designed the two-story bank. Engineers are Great River Engineering, civil; Crocker Consulting Engineers Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural. [[In-content Ad]]
