DeWitt/Dunn is the general contractor for St. John’s approximately $101 million patient tower. The 350,000-square-foot project is a joint project of Springfield-based DeWitt & Associates and Kansas City-based JE Dunn Construction Co. of Kansas City. Christner Inc. is the architect, and Alper Audi is the structural engineer; both firms are based in St. Louis. The seven-floor tower will serve as St. John’s main entrance. It will add 110 patient beds, and the bottom floor will have meeting space to accommodate between 400 and 450 people. The hospital will begin occupying the patient tower by November, with full completion expected in March.
