Project Profile: Cowan’s Ace Hardware

Bailey Co. is the general contractor for an Ace Hardware store in Chestnut Crossing for Karen Cowan and family. H Design Group LLC is the architect for the project. Engineers are Olsson Associates Inc., civil; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Angela Blevins, project manager with Bailey Co., said crews are now working on interior finishes for the 21,900-square-foot building. Exterior work is nearly finished on the building and work on the parking lot will begin soon, Blevins said. Liberty Bank is the lender for the project, which has an estimated cost of $1.3 million. The business will have a 5,000-square-foot garden center, a custom picture-framing studio and a rental center for power washers and small household tools.
