Missouri State University’s Small Business Development Center will present “How to Write A Business Plan–The Path to Success,” 6–9 p.m. both evenings in MSU’s Glass Hall. The fee is $129 per person and $99 for a second person from the same business. The MSU SBDC presents Human Resources Legal Issues, a series of training seminars throughout October:
“Personal Law: Hiring and Firing,” is designed to help businesses understand the key federal and state laws regarding human resource issues. It will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 11 in MSU’s Glass Hall.
“Establishing Essential Human Resources and Record-keeping” focuses on when human resources should be established as a formal entity. It will be held at 9 a.m. Oct. 18 in Glass Hall.
“Personnel Law: Common HR Mistakes and Hot Topics” is designed to increase awareness of legal issues and compliance throughout and organization. It will be held at 9 a.m. October 25 in MSU’s Glass Hall.
The fee for each seminar is $99 per person or a discounted price of $267 per person for the series. Pre-enrollment in all three classes is required to receive the discount. For more information or to register, call the SBDC office at (417) 836-5685.

College of the Ozarks will hold Fall Career Day 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on the second floor of Youngman Agricultural Center on the campus in Point Lookout. Career Day is open to employers for full-time employment and internship recruiting. There are no fees charged to participate.
