Pro-democracy candidates in Hong Kong won big at the election box on Sunday.
Nearly 3 million of the 4.1 million registered voters in the Chinese territory cast their ballots in the district council elections.
Protests were put on hold during the election day. Pro-democracy candidates won 300 of 452 seats, compared with 41 seats for the pro-Beijing side, as of Monday morning.
