The presses, a Xeikon DCP 50D and a Xeikon DCP 500D, are eight-color digital Web printing presses that, according to company president Michael Murphy, will allow significantly quicker turnaround for delivering high-quality color printing in lower quantities.|ret||ret||tab|

"Our business customers are exploring a whole new range of printing possibilities for their diverse communication needs," Murphy said. "This technology produces the color and quality they demand at an affordable price even for quantities as low as one piece."|ret||ret||tab|

Murphy added that the Xeikon's "open and flexible architecture" and advanced technology allow printing on a wide range of material from paper to plastics.|ret||ret||tab|

The Xeikon presses are the first North American installations of the new generation of PPML-compliant Internet-linked presses. PPML is an accepted global language standard created by Xeikon and adopted by Adobe, Microsoft and the Web Consortium that allows variable data printing over the Internet. |ret||ret||tab|

Murphy said, "This allows our customers involved in e-commerce to store and update multiple versions of their marketing material as a database. The finished material can be assembled, personalized, printed automatically and distributed based on the requests, inquiries, collected information and demographics of the customer. The document is always current and tailored to the customers wishes."|ret||ret||tab|

Master Printers, founded 30 years ago, provides offset and digital printing. Its client list includes NASA, the Department of Defense, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the U.S. Army Space Command and advertising agencies McCann SAS, BJK&E and DDB. |ret||ret||tab|
