The Missouri Department of Agriculture and RPCS Inc. of Springfield will detail the initiative at a 2 p.m. news conference today at Price Cutter Plus, 3260 E. Battlefield Road.
More than 50 Missouri-made products – from Ozark Sweet Tangy Dill to Cowboy Chris’ Original BBQ Sauce – will be sold from 15 companies. Those companies are Ozark Pickle Pantry; Hoss’s BBQ Sauce & Seasonings; Western’s Smokehouse & Meat Market; Tumbling Creek Gourmet Salsas; Swiss Meat & Sausage Co.; Mid-Town Rec.; Persimmon Hill Gourmet Foods; Ozark Country Fixin’s; Old World Spice & Seasonings Inc.; My House Seasonings; Lahms Inc.; Heartland Farm Foods; Cyclone Promotions; Image Services International; and Cowboy Chris BBQ.
Studies have shown that Missouri consumers prefer buying Missouri-made products, according to a news release from the agriculture department, and the partnership with Price Cutter is aimed at helping shoppers identify those products more easily.
