The 2012 Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper raised $854,262 for area charities, trumping last year's record of $782,000.
The funding, presented yesterday to 47 nonprofits at Highland Springs Country Club, pushed the 23-year-old golf tournament's donations past the $10 million mark, according to a news release.
