The pressure is mounting on President Donald Trump in the wake of the deadly, race-fueled clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The president, who has been at his New Jersey golf club on a working vacation, blamed bigotry on "many sides." Both sides of the aisle are calling on him to specifically condemn white supremacists and hate groups involved in the protests, according to The Associated Press.
Vice President Mike Pence said "these dangerous fringe groups ... have no place in American public life and in the American debate."
