Springfield nonprofit Preferred Family Healthcare has been suspended as a Medicaid provider in Arkansas.
The decision came alongside the indictment of Robin Raveendran, a former employee of PFH.
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge said Raveendran was a "known Medicaid expert" who "knew how to exploit the program.
Raveendran, who according to PFH was terminated last year, is accused of coordinating a scheme through which PFH was reimbursed for 20,109 illegally billed mental health services.
