So it’s not a lot of activity, it doesn’t have to be something very intense, but just something that gets you from not being sedentary for more than thirty minutes,” says Mollie Estes, Mind and Body Coordinator for CoxHealth Fitness Centers. Estes says a sedentary lifestyle can overcome even a good diet and daily workout routine. Even a brisk walk to the water cooler will help you keep your metabolic rate up. Avoid your comfort zone. Keep moving.
