Pot shares rally as speculators see green

Following the legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado, pot company shares are through the roof – sort of.

Marijuana penny stocks are trading at the highest levels ever, with companies seeing triple and even four-digit percentage jumps. However, in most cases, that amounts to shares which can be traded for less than a dime.

Bloomberg reports companies such as Hemp Inc. (OTC: HEMP) saw shares jump 205 percent to 8 cents in the last three days. Tranzbyte Corp. (OTC: ERBB) gained more than 310 percent in five trading sessions, crossing above a penny for the first time in 11 months.

With most trading over the counter, the Top 10 marijuana-related stocks that have rallied more than 20 percent this year are all priced below $1.
