Post to lay off 165 in Idaho plant closure

Post Holdings Inc. said Thursday it plans to close its PowerBar manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho, by July, a move the packaged-food company said would affect 165 employees and save it about $4 million a year.

The St. Louis-based company bought the PowerBar sports nutrition business from Nestle last year.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the company has struggled in recent quarters with high expenses and lackluster sales.
