Bales Construction is the general contractor for this new eatery, which is scheduled for completion June 1. John Oke-Thomas of Oke-Thomas & Associates Architects is the architect for the project.
The new restaurant will be very similar to the Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits restaurant at 1421 W. Kearney. Both are owned by L & N Investments of St. Robert.
Like that restaurant, the West Sunshine location will feature a New Orleans-style motif, which also is reflected in the Popeyes menu in addition to fried chicken and biscuits, the restaurants offer jambalaya.
The new restaurant is approximately 2,100 square feet in size. It will seat about 40 people. It also will have a drive-through window.
