Pope Francis visit delays iPhone deliveries

Posted online
Did you preorder your new iPhone 6S and are eagerly waiting for Friday?

Your wait might be a little longer than expected and you can blame Pope Francis.

CNNMoney reports the Pope’s historic visit to the United States is closing roads, rerouting traffic and forcing UPS and FedEx to suspend iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus delivery over the next few days.

The worst hit areas are on the Pope’s tour route: parts of New York, Philadelphia and Washington.

The next generation of iPhones will go on sale in stores on Friday. Presales began about a week ago, with most expected delivery dates falling on Friday.
