Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States is looking into banning Chinese social media apps such as TikTok.
Pompeo pointed to the U.S. previously blacklisting Huawei and ZTE.
"It's something we're looking at," he said of TikTok. "With respect to Chinese apps on American cellphones, I can assure you the U.S. will get this one right too."
Concerns have been raised on how TikTok handles user data.
