Poll: Americans say businesses shouldn't be allowed to discriminate against gays

Based on a poll conducted April 6-8, 54 percent of Americans think it is wrong for businesses to deny service to someone based on their religious beliefs.

In addition, 55 percent said they would like to see same-sex marriages recognized at the state level by all states, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The poll found a solid opposition in allowing businesses to discriminate based on their religious beliefs.
