Politico editor posts addresses of alt-right leader, resigns

A Politico editor resigned yesterday within hours after publishing the home addresses of a white supremacist leader and encouraging people to go to his home.

Michael Hirsh, the now ex-national editor of Politico Magazine, posted on Facebook: "Stop whining about Richard B. Spencer, Nazi, and exercise your rights as decent Americans. Here are his two addresses. ..."

Spencer leads the white nationalist think-tank National Policy Institute. Politico editor-in-chief John Harris and editor Carrie Budoff Brown called Hirsh's post indefensible.
