Police release video of officer shooting an armed man

Posted online
Muskogee, Okla., police released a video Friday of one of its officers involved in a fatal shooting of an armed 21-year-old outside a wedding.

The event occurred on Jan. 17 and was captured by officer Chansey McMillin’s body camera. Around 50 to 60 officers with the Muskogee Police Department wear the cameras.

The video shows McMillin firing five rounds at Terence Walker after Walker, who was running away from the officer, bent down to pick up an item he dropped and briefly turned back toward the policeman. In the video, a responding officer found an item on Walker and tossed it to the side before McMillin said it was a loaded gun.

Walker had allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend, who was inside the nearby church, throughout the day of the shooting.
