‘Playmobil’ movie bombs at US box office

Posted online

"Playmobil: The Movie" recorded one of the worst openings in recent cinematic history.

The movie brought in $668,000 at the domestic box office, according to its distributor, STX.

CNBC reports only “The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure" and “Delgo," along with the 10-year rerelease of “Saw," posted weaker openings.

The film, which has garnered $12 million internationally, seems unlikely to recoup its $75 million cost, according to CNBC.
