Leawood, Kansas-based NPC International Inc. is slated to close up to 300 Pizza Hut franchise stores.
Through bankruptcy proceedings initiated earlier this summer, NPC now is seeking court approval to shutter underperforming locations. The company has seven Pizza Hut franchises in Springfield.
The list of affected restaurants has not been released.
