Pizza Hut delivers to top of Mount Kilimanjaro

In a public relations stunt to celebrate expansion into its 100th country, Pizza Hut delivered a pie to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The company used an airplane, motor vehicle, professional hikers and a specially designed pizza backpack to deliver a pepperoni pie with extra cheese to the summit of Africa's highest mountain.

Guinness World Records confirmed Yum! Brands' Pizza Hut Africa set a record for the highest elevation pizza delivery at the 19,347-foot peak of Kilimanjaro during the trek.

The May 5-8 delivery was made in celebration of Pizza Hut's entry into Tanzania.
