Pittsburg State's MBA director resigns after investigation

Posted online
Pittsburg State University business professor Michael Muoghalu turned in his resignation Sept. 19, following an investigation that discovered “questionable financial procedures” in the school’s Master of Business Administration program, according to Joplin Regional Business Journal.

Muoghalu served as director of the MBA program. The school launched an investigation by a third party in May after an internal inquiry turned up questions. Moughalu was placed on unpaid administrative leave at that time.

PSU did not disclose further findings of the investigation, the business journal reported, but university officials said an independent auditor is conducting a full review of related policies and procedures.
